FIELD NOTES
A record of how this scent came into being.
This scent traces back to a journey I didn’t plan.
I had just flown from Hyderabad to Frankfurt, missed my original train to Switzerland because of delays, and ended up on a chaotic route filled with unfamiliar platforms and unreadable signs. I was dragging two heavy suitcases, moving on instinct, hoping I was heading in the right direction each time.
Somehow, strangers helped me.
A sweet older Swiss woman rushed me along in her soft accent, guiding me from platform to platform like a quiet guardian angel. A couple from North Carolina ended up on the same route.
Everything felt slightly unreal, like I was moving through it rather than controlling it.
When I finally arrived in Grindelwald late at night, it was snowing. The town was quiet. The hotel picked me up. My room was warm, small, and perfect — a balcony overlooking the mountains.
I opened a cologne I’d been carrying from India, stepped outside into the cold, and just breathed.
That feeling — of being carried, of arriving, of finally being still — is where this scent lives.
